It is important to make sure your family is aware of your decision, particularly if you are under 18 years old. Families of registered donors who are minors must consent to donation before it can be carried out.

You can withdraw your name from the registry if you change your mind. When the time comes, your status as a donor must be respected by law if you are registered, even if your family members disagree with your decision (unless you are under 18 years of age).
