Dear Donor Family,

I am writing to thank you for the organ donation of your loved one. I am very sorry for your loss. I want you to know that because of your gift I have been able to get back to a normal, happy and productive life.

I needed an liver transplant due to Cirrhosis. Please don’t misunderstand my reason as most would think drinking or hep c. But nope, I was one of the oddballs, lol. I never drank. So I believe my doing was what God wanted for me. Since the transplant, I am now able to hold my grandkids, attend school functions without the assistance of a wheelchair. I am so glad not to have to take medicines that where a must to help stay alive. I was also able to enjoy the company of my mother for a little under a year until she passed away. I can do most things on my own again.

For this, I am grateful to you and your loved one. My family and I will always remember your act of kindness and generosity. I will cherish this gift for the rest of my life.

Thank you,

T. 👸🏽
