Letter of thanks and condolences to the family of the donated organs,
I am US Army Infantry Veteran. I am the grateful recipient of both the kidney and liver from your honored family member on August 8th, 2021. I waited 1 year before sending this to you out immense respect for your loss of your son.
I do not know your son or family. You do not know me outside of this letter. We do share something that lives on in me. For that, I sincerely say, I love you all. I hope you are receiving this in the spirit for which I am sending this to you all.
I am a 58 year old man who suffered from both kidney and liver failure. Some of which was medical error to me in 2015 and some because I was a frequent drinker.
Today, I report to you that I am doing very well. I take all my rejection and other medications & I keep all medical appointments. I have had my annual flu shot, 2 doses of Covid-19 shots, a booster shot, several other necessary shots and just got my monkey pox shot. I always have been one to take care of my health minus my former drinking. I know that the gifts of your donation gave me life and I take it very seriously in the care of my transplanted organs.
I hope it possible to meet your family one day, hopefully, to celebrate your son’s life and the gifts I received in order to show my appreciation to you all.
I look forward to hearing from you if you wish to contact me.
God bless you all
