Dear Donor Family,
It is now almost a year since I received the gift of a liver and kidney transplant from your family, and I am writing to thank you with all my heart. I can barely imagine how painful it must have been to have lost a young man from your family, so tragically.
For me, the last year has been filled with ups and downs, but in the last few months my health seems to have stabilized and I am feeling very well. I have been able to return to active exercise and work every day in my vegetable garden. I wish there were some way to share my home grown tomatoes and greens with your family. Without your generous organ donation, I would most likely have passed away from liver cancer. Instead, I will be dancing at my 70th birthday celebration in a couple of months. I cannot thank you enough. I would be very happy to hear from you if you so desire.
