To the family that has given me a new life,
I have been preaching and singing since I was 14 years old. I played football, track and field. I was the Student Body President; went to College-graduated and was called to pastor a church.
I have three children; one has already graduated from college and the other two are finishing up. I have dedicated my whole life to helping others. I have lived by the mantra-“If I can help somebody then my living will not be in vain”. I am 61 years old.
I have been on dialysis for 5 1/2 years due to hypertension and high blood pressure, which severely affected my kidneys and life. It has been hard working and going to dialysis three times a week at 4 a.m. in the morning. It has been extremely hard trying to have some quality of life.
I don’t have the words that would be sufficient to express the sacrifice that took place for you to make the decision to donate your love one’s organ. If I spoke every language I would tell you thank you in every language. Your love one will live in me and I am appreciative for this precious gift. I welcome the opportunity to meet you and for you to know me; if you so choose or have a desire to meet me. These words I have written to your family are from my heart.
Bless you,
Rev. D
