“I’m about to turn 20 years old…. This transplant has given me a new perspective on life.”

Dear, Donor Family,

I can not thank you enough for the donation of a kidney from your loved one.
I was in need of a kidney transplant because I was born with Congenital Kidney Defect. This transplant has given me a new perspective on life. It has given me a chance at a normal life. I can now enjoy the foods we all love, I can now enjoy the shower and go swimming. I can now continue with school, to become a nurse, so that I can help others the way you have helped me.

I’m about to turn 20 years old. I enjoy scrapbooking, because moments are too precious to miss. I enjoy riding my bike and walking around town enjoying the view. I also enjoy working and riding around on my grandpa’s motorcycle with him.
My plan in life is to help everyone I can. My gratitude goes out towards you and your family. I am deeply sorry for your loss, but you were also able to help many lives.

If you would like to stay in contact or continue to get updates and pictures, I would be pleased, but I do know it is hard. Thank you so much for this opportunity.

Sincerely, A.
