“To me, all hope was gone. You came and brought hope to me where none existed.”

Dear Donor family,

It is with utmost gratitude that I write this letter to you on my behalf and that of my family as an indicator of how much we appreciate what you did for our family. I felt very lucky and honored to have received your donation. I believe that there are no words that can describe the feeling you brought to me.

When my health deteriorated, I started consulting for medical assistance with less certainty of what was going to follow. When the doctors said that I needed a liver transplant, I felt like the world was coming to an end. To me, all hope was gone. You came and brought hope to me where none existed. I would like you to know that there is no single day that goes by without me thinking of this wonderful gift of life that you gave to me. I have never and never will I receive another gift precious like this one.

I consider myself the most blessed person in this world. The second chance I got in my life was all made possible by your overwhelming hearts. Without this gift that you passionately and freely gave to me, I would probably have died leaving my family in pain. I can therefore sincerely say that you saved my life and offered me a chance to be with my family once again.

We know that donating to me was a hard decision that came with unbearable pain to your family. I want to let you know that we are praying for you during this hard time. Your inconceivable generosity helped me in my hour of need. I will forever be indebted to you.

Yours sincerely,
