“‘New life at 30’ – I have been able to leave dialysis and have more energy to start my life again”

I am writing to thank you for the kidney donation from your loved one. I am very sorry for your loss, and I want you to know that your gift has given me a chance to live a normal, productive life.

I needed a transplant because I was dealing with dialysis for 10 years. My dialysis access was getting big and ugly and I was always so tired. Since the transplant, I have been able to leave dialysis and have more energy to start my life again.

You and your loved one made it possible for me to experience something I almost forgot and that is to be normal. For this, I am very grateful to you and your loved one. My family and I will always remember your act of kindness and generosity. I will cherish my gift for the rest of my life.

Thank you, J. “new life at 30”
